Our story

Simpler, fairer, more transparent trade

Dhow Group was founded in Brussels in October 2024 by two entrepreneurs with a shared conviction: international trade should be simpler, more transparent and fairer for everyone involved. Drawing on more than 30 years of combined experience in chemicals, commodities, international trade and finance, they built a trading house that combines the agility of an entrepreneurial company with the rigour of European governance. Today, Dhow Group connects producers in Europe, Asia, North America and Africa with manufacturers across the African continent, one reliable shipment at a time.

Why 'Dhow'

For more than a thousand years, the dhow has sailed the monsoon winds between the Arabian Peninsula, East Africa and India, carrying goods, ideas and relationships across the ocean. We chose its name because it embodies what we do: connecting continents through trade, with seamanship, patience and trust.
